At the same time, Jinsheng Lake is also an important wintering bird habitat in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, which has high ecological protection and scientific research value. In order to protect the ecological environment and rare bird resources of Jinsheng Lake, the government has banned aquaculture in the buffer zone of Jinsheng Lake.

Jinsheng Lake buffer zone belongs to nature reserve. According to relevant laws and regulations, it is illegal to conduct aquaculture, grazing, hunting, fishing, reclamation, burning wasteland, collecting herbs, mining and quarrying in nature reserves.
