Gongyi City’s latest number restriction regulations

Gongyi City is based on the last Arabic digit of a motor vehicle license plate (including temporary license plates and foreign license plates). If the last digit is a letter, the last digit shall prevail. There is a limit of two license plates per day on working days.

Travel restriction time: Starting from December 31, 2021, the traffic restriction measures for two last numbers per day on working days will be resumed.

Daily restricted hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00-20:00.

Holidays: No restrictions on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.

Foreign license plates: Foreign vehicles are restricted, and the restriction policy is the same as that of local vehicles.

Restricted areas: west of S235 (formerly S237), north of Suqin Road (including Suqin Road), north of Dufu Road (including Dufu Road), east of Xiaoyi Road (including Xiaoyi Road), Guangming All urban roads south of Guangming Road (including Guangming Road), south of Huochang Road (including Huochang Road), and south of Heluo Road (excluding Heluo Road).

No vehicle restrictions

1. Police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and engineering rescue vehicles.

2. Operation of public buses, electric vehicles, inter-provincial long-distance passenger vehicles and large buses, taxis, small buses, special postal vehicles, and tourist buses issued by the municipal transportation management department Vehicles with certificates, unit shuttle buses and school buses approved by the municipal public security and transportation management department.

3. Administrative law enforcement vehicles and special wrecker clearing vehicles with unified markings on their bodies and performing tasks.

4. Special operation vehicles for sanitation, gardening, and road maintenance, and funeral vehicles for funeral homes.

5. Vehicles with number plates bearing the word "Shi" and vehicles approved for temporary entry.
