What's the use of Apple's phone dark mode?

Last week, a test was conducted on the power-saving characteristics of dark mode: they used two iPhone XS with dark mode turned on/off for comparison, and adjusted the screen brightness of the two phones to 200 nits before the test began. In order to minimize the impact of human factors in the test process, they even used robotic arms to complete various operations, such as texting, map navigation, watching videos and so on.
