Written notice in English Where is the date of the notice written?

The format of an English notice is generally to write the date of issuance of the notice in the lower left corner of the text of the notice.

Notifications generally consist of three parts: title, body and end. The title part includes commonly used headlines and the name of the unit that issued the notice; the main text includes the matter, the object of the notice, requirements, time (and sometimes location), etc.; the end part mainly includes the specific date of the notification.

The English notice NOTICE (each letter is capitalized) is written in the middle of the line above the notice text. The name of the unit that issued the notice can be written above NOTICE or in the lower right corner of the notice body; the date of issuing the notice is generally written in the lower left corner of the notice body.

A good English written notice should have the following three points:

1. Four more and one less. Four more: more passive voice, more future tenses, more simple sentences, and more imperative sentences. One less: fewer modifying words.

2. The content, object, time and location of the activity should be clearly stated at the beginning of the notice. We call it the four “W’s.” That is: what, who, when, where.

3. Clear levels. Express one thing at one level and avoid expressing multiple things in one sentence.

Extended information:

Notice (announcement) is a style of writing used to inform certain information.

Write the word Notice in the center above the notice as the title; there is no salutation, and the third person is used in the notice; the name of the unit or person in charge of the notification should be written in the lower right corner of the text, or placed above the title, as part of the title, so that there is no signature at the end; the date of the notification is written in the lower left corner of the text, and should be on the next line below the unit name.
