Statement by Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai

Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, 1949, was born in a Pashtun family in Luger province, Afghanistan, and received a doctorate from Columbia University. He has taught at the University of California, Berkeley and Johns Hopkins University, served in the United Nations and the World Bank, and presided over the post-war reconstruction of Afghanistan with World Bank officials.
