The competent department of traditional Chinese medicine in the State Council is responsible for the management of traditional Chinese medicine throughout the country. Other relevant departments in the State Council are responsible for the work related to the management of traditional Chinese medicine within their respective functions and duties. The competent departments of traditional Chinese medicine of local people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the administration of traditional Chinese medicine within their respective administrative areas. Other relevant departments of the local people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the work related to the administration of traditional Chinese medicine within the scope of their respective duties.
