Enterprises must choose a short message access method to carry out short message service. At present, the short message access modes available for selection mainly include the following:

1) dedicated line is connected to the SMS gateway (SMS center) of the operator.

Enterprises directly access the network of mobile operators through their own servers, and operators have certain requirements for equipment and services, and the services they carry out must also be comprehensively evaluated by operators. If enterprise users are involved in multiple operator networks (such as China Mobile and China Unicom) and need to access them separately, the server price is usually expensive, so this method is more suitable for super-large enterprises than ordinary small and medium-sized enterprises.

2) virtual operator access

As one of its customers, the enterprise uses the client software provided by virtual operator or the secondary development interface to send short messages. This has the advantage of less equipment investment. However, depending on virtual operator, there is bound to be a problem, and the business content and service quality will be limited, which is not convenient for developing its own characteristic business. Moreover, all information has to be transferred by service providers, and the security of enterprise information cannot be guaranteed. It is difficult to reduce operating costs by paying SMS fees to service providers.

3) Wireless access of mobile phone or GSMMODEM

In this method, the application uses a mobile phone or GSMMODEM to send short messages through a serial port.
