140 pure English letters (including punctuation marks, spaces, Arabic numerals) cannot have a Chinese character, and a Chinese character should count as 70 words as a message.

Sometimes the system is not very accurate. For example, if you send 140 Chinese characters, it will take you two, but sometimes it will divide you into three on average. Alas, there is nothing to say about this. I don't usually send long messages, but I will send them after 69 words.
