What if Huawei forgets to apply the lock password?

If you forget the application lock password, please follow the following methods to get help:

1. Use fingerprint or face to enter the application lock and turn off the locked application switch.

If an application lock that allows fingerprint/face access is set, you can enter the settings, search for the application lock, use fingerprint/face to enter the application lock, and lock the application list interface. Turn off the switch for locked applications in the list.

Warm reminder: HarmonyOS system &; Mobile phones with EMUI 9. 1 or above still need to verify the user-defined password/screen lock password when modifying the password or closing the application lock, and cannot directly close the application lock.

2. Verify the security question and reset the password.

Enter the settings, search and click Apply Lock, and then select Use Password. Please confirm whether there is a "Forgot Password" option in the password input interface where the lock is applied:

(1) The application lock password input interface has the option of "Forgot Password".

When the application lock is opened, the user-defined application lock password will be used. Please click "Forgot your password?" At the bottom of the input box of the application locking interface. You can fill in the secret answer and reset the password.

(2) There is no "Forgot Password" option in the application lock password input interface.

Then use the lock screen password when opening the application lock. Please enter the screen lock password to try to unlock it.

3. If the above operations can't solve the problem, the following operations are recommended:

EMUI8. 1 and the following systems: Unloading and reloading the locked application can unlock the application. However, for applications that cannot be uninstalled (such as Huawei application market), it is necessary to back up data (third-party applications such as QQ and WeChat need to be backed up separately), and then restore the factory settings to unlock the application. (Locked application data cannot be backed up)

HarmonyOS system & ampEMUI 8.2 and above: The application lock can only be released by restoring the factory settings. It is recommended that you back up the data first (third-party applications such as QQ and WeChat need to be backed up separately) and then restore the factory settings: enter the mobile phone settings, search and restore the factory settings, and complete the operation according to the prompts on the mobile phone interface. (Unloading and reloading a locked application cannot release the Application Lock).
