S60 version and functions

The first version of S60 (S60V1, version number 1.2) uses Symbian 6.1 as the core and mainly has the following functions:

(version number 2.6, with Symbian 8.0a as the core) and Feature Pack 3 (version number 2.8, with Symbian 8.1a as the core). It mainly has the following functions:

S60 version 3 has a new feature called Scalable UI (scalable user interface). Compared with the previous 176x208 portrait screen, the following features have been added:

Supports 176x208, 208x208, 240x320, 352x416 resolutions, each of which supports portrait and landscape screens, and has signal strength, The positions of battery power and soft key function displays can be adjusted.

Supports software to run adaptively on screens of different resolutions, landscape or portrait.

In other words, the new software developed for S60 3rd Edition can run on various S60 3rd Edition mobile phones with different resolutions without modification.
